A Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division softball showdown is set for Thursday on the campus of Hillcrest Academy when the Ravens host the Columbus Wildcats. Hillcrest is 3-5 overall, 2-3 in the SEISC after a 15-3 loss at Van Buren Wednesday. The Ravens are hitting .336 as a team with 42 runs on 39 hits. Kylee Statler and Erin Bontrager are both at .500 this season to lead the way, at six hits apiece. Statler has a team best nine RBI and Malia Yoder has scored a team high nine runs. Yoder has handled all of the pitching duties so far, throwing 28 innings with a .218 opponent average. She has given up 36 hits, 30 earned runs, 32 walks and struck out 39 for a 7.41 ERA.

Columbus is 4-4 this year, 3-2 in league play after pounding Pekin Tuesday 13-0. This season, the Wildcats are hitting .298 as a team, with 53 runs on 56 hits. Lily Coil is batting .545 with 12 hits and 12RBI, all team bests. Ellie Sanders has scored a team high 12 runs. In the circle, Columbus has thrown 39 innings with a team ERA of 4.45 and .245 opponent batting average. They have given up 46 hits, 25 earned runs, 15 walks and 34 strikeouts. Coil has a 3-2 record and 2.78 ERA in 23 innings. Columbus has won 4 of the last 5 in the series with the Ravens taking a 9-8 victory at Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids last June.
