Keota Eagle baseball knocked off conference rival Colfax-Mingo 5-0 Wednesday night. After scoring a run in each of the first two innings, three more in the third would be more than enough for Keota to cruise to victory, as junior pitcher Tanner Waterhouse threw a complete game no-hitter and was one walk shy of a perfect game.

Waterhouse needed only 69 pitches to shut down Colfax and finished with four striketouts. The junior also had two hits and two runs scored at the plate. Eagle senior Aidan Anderson led the lineup with a three-hit night and two runs batted in as Keota improves to 3-4 in the South Iowa Cedar League and 6-6 overall.

Eagle softball was not as fortunate, giving up nine runs in the first inning as part of a 12-0 loss to Colfax-Mingo that keeps Keota winless so far this season.
