Nineteen long-term care leaders graduated Tuesday from the Iowa Health Care Association’s Executive Health Care Leadership Institute. One of those graduates was Scott Kessler with the Keota Health Care Center.
This year-long leadership program provides Iowa long-term care workers with the leadership fundamentals and specific technical skills needed to provide care in post-acute settings. It also featured training on leadership development, population health management, human resources, workforce development and more.
The program is available for leaders in Iowa skilled nursing facilities, assisted living programs, home health agencies, and long-term care facilities. For anyone interested in attending IHCA’s Executive Health Care Leadership Institute, applications for the 2023-24 program are now being accepted. To apply, submit a resume, reference letter, and short summary of what you hope to achieve from the program to IHCA Vice President, Brenda Irlbeck at brenda@iowahealthcare.org. Applications are due by June 30.
