The Washington Demons dropped another close game in baseball Friday night, falling 8-5 at Williamsburg. Washington grabbed the initial lead with two runs in the top of the first inning, and the game would be back-and-forth early on.

But, already leading 3-2, Williamsburg seized control of the game with five runs in the fourth, and despite the Demons attempting a rally with two runs in the seventh, the Raiders held on. With the loss, Washington falls to 4-17. The Demons will try to right the ship when they start a Southeast Conference series tonight by visiting Burlington for a doubleheader.
