A boil order issued for the City of West Chester earlier this week remains in effect until further notice. Repairs were needed on the water main Sunday, after which additional leaks were found.
West Chester residents are advised that boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation while the order continues. Boiling water for at least one minute effectively kills any bacteria or other organisms present in the water. Tap water may still be used for bathing and other similar purposes.
KCII will have more information as it becomes official.
