4-h-grows-here

The Washington County Extension Office is holding a 4-H Photo Mounting Day on Wednesday, July 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office on the fairgrounds.  Photo Mounting Day is open to all Washington County 4-H’ers who want to prepare their photography exhibits for the fair. Materials will be available for purchase that day between 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. only. There will be photo mounting directions and volunteers available to assist. No pre-registration is necessary to be a part of Photo Mounting Day.  4-H’ers only need to bring the printed photos they want to be exhibited at the fair. Matting photos is not a requirement for county fair judging, but mounting/matting is a requirement for any photos to be selected for the Iowa State Fair.  Matting/mounting cannot exceed 1/4 inch in thickness. All 4-H photography exhibits must be pre-registered through Fair Entry by July 12. For more information on the 4-H photography project area or to volunteer with photo mounting day, please contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
