On Monday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Matthew Entsminger of Burlington in Kalona for 3rd and subsequent event of possession of a controlled substance, a Class D Felony, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor, and operating while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor. Upon inspection of the vehicle, police K-9 who is certified in in Narcotics detection alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle; That a search of the vehicle revealed multiple needles said to be used in the past for drug injection, multiple pipes both glass and metal with some used for meth and some for marijuana. Entsminger admitted to being under the influence to the Deputy. Entsminger is being held in the Washington County Jail on a $5000 bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
