U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley gave some words of encouragement and advice for those participating in County Fairs this year. “Well, if you are putting something in for judging, whether it’s animals, or cakes you bake or anything. I know you worked hard to prepare for the county fairs. I just want to wish everyone luck, and everybody can’t get a blue ribbon, but even if you get a red ribbon or a purple ribbon, accept it and do better next year.”  The Washington County Fair begins tomorrow, but many 4-H and FFA participants have been preparing for months with their projects and presentations.
