The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the quarterly report from the County Recorder’s Office at their meeting on Tuesday. Washington County Recorder Theresa Mangold gave the report. “Quarterly report for April, May, and June picked up a little bit with the recording, and the nicer weather and passports have stayed pretty steady also, but like I said, it was a little busier quarter than the first quarter, so, things are picking up a little bit.” Some duties of the Recorder’s Office are to issue marriage applications, register birth, death, and marriage records and provide certified copies of these documents. They provide registration, title, and lien services for those who own recreational vehicles such as boats, snowmobiles, and ATVs. In addition, they assist in completing and mailing applications for passports, including photo services.
