The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the quarterly report from the Washington County Treasurer at their meeting on Tuesday. County Treasurer Jeff Garrett gives some highlights of the report. “Listing all of the County funds, the funds down through number 2030, which is about halfway down the page, are the funds that constitute what’s in the County budget. Those twenty County budgets that I spoke of, those twenty-one budgeted funds, the total of those was $14,167,381.62 so. That is a little bit lower than it was a year ago, but we had budgeted for a decrease.” As the county’s chief financial officer, the treasurer is responsible for the receipt, management, disbursement, and investment of all monies paid to Washington County.
