The offseason has been about improvement for Hillcrest Academy girls athletics, and they have put in hard work this summer. The Raven basketball program hosted their annual camp in July. Nearly players participated in this year’s activities, led by head coach Mitchell Drey. Sessions included three hours of work each day focused on skill development. The Ravens have also participated in open gyms this summer and traveled to Winfield-Mt. Union for a shoot out.
The Raven volleyball program wrapped up their annual camp in July. Hillcrest Union played host to fourth through 12th grade players focused on fundamentals, group drills, station work and games with the goal to develop individual skills, teamwork and game understanding. Eighty-five players attended the camp, under the direction of Raven head coach Brandon Statler.
The Raven volleyball team opens the season August 21st at the Keota tournament. Hillcrest girls basketball kicks off their season November 21st at home against Columbus.
