The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team steps on the court at Wilton Wednesday for another preseason tune-up. The Hawks have been busy ramping up for the season, spending the early part of August at the Central College team camp where they posted a 7-2 match record and 15-6 set record. They also hosted their own camp and traveled to Cedar Rapids Xavier for scrimmages last week.

Joining the Hawks today in Wilton are Dyersville Beckman Catholic, Bellevue, Camanche, Durant, Iowa City Regina, West Liberty and the home Beavers. The Hawks finished last season with a 27-12 overall record, their most wins since 2004. Mid-Prairie has their final preseason scrimmage at Grinnell tomorrow before opening the season August 24th at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman against rival Washington.
