On Saturday, August 19, the Riverside VFW Post 6414 is hosting a benefit event for Tony “Norm” Kron.

The day of events includes a bags tournament at 11 a.m. with sign-up at 10, live music and a free-will donation meal beginning at 1 p.m. and a live auction starting at 3. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets which will be drawn during the auction. Raffle prizes include a John Deere 54” Deck Zero Turn Lawn Mower, a 2014 E-ZOGO RXV Golf Cart, a Traeger Smoker/Grill, and an American Arms Shotgun.

Funds received from the benefit will go to Tony “Norm” Kron. In the last year, Kron has battled both a below-the-knee leg amputation as well as a rare kidney disease. He plans to be fitted for a prosthetic in a few months. With questions about the benefit, contact Angie Zook at 319-631-2978.
