On Friday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a subject was located that was wanted in Washington County. Fifty-six-year-old Clayton Forman of Kalona was arrested for control of a firearm by a felon, a Class D Felony, interference with official acts with a firearm, a Class D Felony, and first-degree harassment, a serious misdemeanor. On July 27th, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office went to Forman’s apartment with a warrant for his arrest; when Forman refused to exit his apartment or allow them entry, he then repeatedly threatened the deputies. A long gun-type firearm was observed through a window. The deputies left the residence after trying to negotiate but felt that the threat was valid. Forman is being held on a $10,000 bond at the Washington County Jail.
