The Highland Huskies are preparing for a new season of cross country and hoping to race their way to success. On the boys’ side, head coach Angie Strobel’s team will look to improve on the three top-five finishes the Huskies had as a team. Highland will return senior Jackson Schneider, as well as sophomores Brayden Zywiec, Chase Hickenbottom and Chase Boshart.

The girls’ team features the return of all-conference junior Siena Stanerson, as well as senior Halle Hazelett, sophomore Erika Thomann and juniors Olivia Edwards and Carsen Stransky. Highland’s first race of the new season is this coming Tuesday at the Hillcrest Academy Invitational.
