Last Thursday, the City of Wellman announced it would be mailing out a survey for random residents. Anyone who receives a survey is asked to fill it out and return the information as soon as possible.

Information received from the survey will assist the City with its application for the Community Development Block Grant which would fund drinking water improvements. The short survey requests the number of individuals living in a household, racial and ethnic information of the household, annual income, and whether or not the household supports the water system project.

Proposed improvements in the project include replacement and upsizing of 13,500 feet of water main, hydrant replacement, adding meter pits, and establishing an additional backup water source. Surveys are asked to be returned to City Hall. With questions, call 319-646-2154.
