Iowa State University Extension is sponsoring Powerful Tools for Caregivers in Washington this October. This program has been tested and evaluated through a grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging. Local supporters include Washington State Bank, the Halcyon House, and the Washington County Extension Office. Classes consist of six 90-minute sessions held once a week. Two experienced leaders conduct each class. Interactive lessons, discussions, and brainstorming help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life. Sessions are scheduled every Thursday for six weeks and begin on October 5th. Classes will be held at The Halcyon House in the Harvest Room from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  With sponsorship from Washington State Bank, there will be no charge for this program. For more information or to register, contact the Washington County Extension office at 319-653-4811 or Dawn Dunnegan at 319-217-9474.
