When the PAWS and More Animal Shelter Staff and volunteers asked Director Amber Talbot what she wanted for her birthday, they weren’t thinking that she would want to raise $10,000 to help the animals. Here is a little background on how this fundraiser was decided, “We are doing a Birthday challenge I had decided that 40 is a big milestone for most people, and my birthday is August 30th, and we’ve been launching a challenge to raise $10,000 I thought if we could have 250 supporters donate $40 that would get us to the $10,000.” Since they announced the challenge, gifts have generously been given to raise $7,157 so far. Through Venmo, PayPal, and through community walking through the doors with their gifts towards the challenge and mailing them to our shelter, the goal is in sight.
