At the Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, the supervisors heard from Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius, “This is kind of a formality brought on by a formality. Work on G36 to pave those shoulders; there are a couple of different funding sources that we are using that were obtained with two different grants and the different agreements they overlapped and our descriptions in our programming in the five year road plan didn’t quite match and they want us to change a few things in how we are accounting for those funds, so we need to make a change in our five-year program. To do that we adjust the map and the description of the project. That’s the main reason for this amendment.” The revisions of the plan would take effect immediately, and will have no consequences on scheduled projects.
