The Highland Huskies scored a conference volleyball victory Tuesday in Riverside when they knocked off the Columbus Wildcats in four sets. After Highland won the first set 25-17, Columbus bounced back to claim the second 25-13. It would be the Huskies who claimed the final two sets, defeating the Wildcats 25-22 and 25-20 to win the match.

Senior outside hitter Sarah Burton led Highland with 11 kills and added two blocked shots and 10 digs. Junior Adeline Krotz added 10 kills and a block. Seniors Peyton Brun and Lorelei Lueck had five kills each, while junior setter Laney Skelton finished with three kills, a serving ace and 12 digs to go with handing out 21 assists.

The victory helps the Huskies improve to 2-2 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference and 6-8 overall. Columbus falls to 0-3 in conference play and 2-12 in total. While the Wildcats play again tonight against Hillcrest Academy, Highland returns to the court Saturday at the Cardinal Tournament.
