It was a rough road trip Friday for the Highland football team as they traveled to district favorite Lisbon to tangle with the third ranked Lions. Lisbon enacted the running clock seven minutes into the contest, leading 47-0 after one quarter en route to a 57-6 victory. The Lions won the total yardage battle 296 to 102, including 241 to 42 on the ground. Baylor Speidel, Quinn Coleman and Dakota Clark each had two touchdown nights, Henry Neymeyer and Gage Holub each found the endzone once. Holub knocked through a field goal. The Huskies were bitten by the turnover bug, losing four fumbles and throwing an interception. Michael Gaberry had a scoop and score for Lisbon on one of the Huskie’s miscues.

Highland got on the board in the final frame when Sage Hartley-Norman found Ayden Havel on a 27-yard touchdown connection.

With the win, Lisbon remains perfect at 4-0, while the Huskies fall to 0-4. Highland will prepare to circle the wagons, celebrating Homecoming this week with a game against Columbus Friday.
