The Washington City Council met on Tuesday evening. On the agenda were two special event requests. Main Street Washington Executive Director Samantha Meyer made the presentation for their upcoming November event, “We’re doing the lighting ceremony and the parade. The only thing we added was we did ask JT Sips to come set up on the square pre-parade because Cafe Dodici is the only place that’s open that late, and they get swamped with hot chocolate and coffee, so trying to take some of the pressure off of them.” The second special event request was from Relay for Life Washington. Their event will be held next June, and both events were approved by the council.
