Residents in Richmond and the Kalona Southtown area are advised that crews will be flushing hydrants beginning on Tuesday. 

Fire hydrants in Richmond and Southtown will be flushed from Tuesday, September 26 through Friday, September 29. Work will begin at 6 a.m. each day and end at approximately 4 p.m.

During this time, residents are reminded that they may experience lower water pressure and/or water discoloration. While the water will still be safe for consumption, the discoloration could result in stains for those who wash clothing while flushing is in progress.
