The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday; on the agenda was a resolution regarding the vacation of portions of Cedar Ave by the County. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius gives some background, “So this is Cedar Ave. the vacation part being requested today starts a quarter mile north of 145th St and runs north approximately a quarter mile. This is a level b road that has had virtually no maintenance the last eighteen or nineteen years, however long I have been with the county, probably longer than that. There was a new land owner earlier this year, JDSD Farms LLC came to us and asked that this be vacated. They own both sides of the road.” The Board voted unanimously to vacate those portions of Cedar Ave.
