A Mt. Pleasant man was arrested in Des Moines last month for enticing a minor.

The subject, identified as 48-year-old Paul Wesley Miller, reportedly interacted in an online chat room with an undercover Des Moines Police Officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. Miller then drove to Des Moines with the intent of committing sexual acts with who he believed to be the girl.

Miller was arrested on September 21 and charged with enticing a minor-sexual purposes, a class D felony. He was also issued a $50,000 bond along with an Order of Protection, prohibiting Miller from committing further acts of abuse or threats of abuse or having contact with any minor under the age of 18.

Miller’s arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, November 9.
