Two excellent Sigourney Savage cross-country runners have continued their excellent seasons with a pair of strong performances in the last week. That includes at this year’s South Iowa Cedar League Championships Tuesday in Grinnell, where sophomore Troy Klett was fifth in the boys’ race with a time of 17 minutes 48 seconds and sophomore Addison Yates was eighth in the girls’ run by crossing the finish line in 22:09.

Junior Reanah Utterback also ran well at the SICL meet and finished 20th. At the Montezume Invitational last Thursday, Klett was sixth on the boys’ side in 18:08. Yates was seventh for the girls in 22:31, while Utterback was also 14th. Sigourney is now off until this year’s Class 1A state qualifying meet in Iowa City.
