The 2023 volleyball season came to a close for the Washington Demons last night, as Washington fell at Davenport Assumption in straight sets in the Class 3A Region 8 quarterfinals. Washington dropped the first set 25-9 and could never catch the defending state champions, losing the next two frames 25-12 and 25-14.

Despite the defeat, the Demons finish the season with a record of 17-18, their best winning percentage and most victories in a single season since 2007. Washington will be saying farewell to six seniors after this year, including Rylee Libe, Jacey Berg, Caitlin Kroll, Maci Williams, Remy Messinger and Sadie Van Der Molen.
