keota-play

The fall play season is underway this school year, as students from Keota High School are set to perform tonight and Saturday.

The performance features a one-act play, titled Cheating Death, as well as four skits from The Carol Burnett Show. These include High School Classmates, Airline Check-In, The Coffee Commercial, and Rent-a-Car

Members of the cast this year are seniors Emily Sheetz, Cassie Swantz, and Nino Kirtava, juniors Ava Greiner, Ariel Wulff, Willow Schutte, and Wyatt Donald, and sophomores Luke Moeller, Addy Purkeypile, Kennedy Jackson, Dakota Dodd, Emily Mahan, and Gavin Sieren.

Senior Cassie Swantz encourages anyone interested to come and attend either show. “Not only is it gonna be a good time, but we’ve also worked really hard on it and we really love when there’s a lot of people in the audience and there’s people to watch. These plays and the skits are directed by really really good people, they’re really funny, and it’s just going to be a good time.”

Thursday and Saturday’s performances start at 7:30 p.m. in the Keota High School Auditorium. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. They can be picked up at the door, or reserved by calling the High School at 641-636-3491.
