The dreams of the UNI-Dome are still alive for four area teams, as the high school football postseason continues tonight with the round of 16.

After an 0-3 start, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have won four of their last five, including an opening-round blowout of Northeast Goose Lake, 49-18. The Golden Hawks aim to continue this 2A postseason run on the road against number ten Prairie City Monroe. Pregame coverage can be heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5, the KCII2 app, and KCIIradio.com at 6:30 p.m. The Hawks and Mustangs are set to kick off at 7 in Monroe.

After steamrolling through Belle Plaine last week to open the eight-man playoffs, top-ranked Winfield-Mt. Union maintained their perfect record and earned a trip to the second round for the first time in nearly a decade. The Wolves host Moravia, where a win would put them one away from Cedar Falls. KCII will have live coverage on 106.1 FM and KCIIradio.com beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. followed by kickoff between the Wolves and Mohawks at 7.

On the other side of the grouping, WACO looks to make its second run to the Dome in as many years. The Warriors pulled away from the Baxter Bolts in the first round of the eight-man playoffs, improving to 7-1. Thirteenth ranked WACO travels to Gilbertville for a contest with fellow-powerhouse, eighth-ranked Don Bosco and the action will be available on the new KCII3 Stream. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m., with the Warriors and Dons kicking off at 7.

In 1A, number six Sigourney-Keota dominated West Central Valley in their postseason opener 52-7. In the midst of an eight-game winning streak, the Cobras earned the right to host their second-round matchup with Dike-New Hartford. Sigourney-Keota has its sights set on revenge, after the Wolverines knocked them off in the 2021 quarterfinals. With a trip to the 2023 quarterfinals on the line, the two kickoff at 7 p.m.
