The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team piled up some impressive numbers during the 2023 campaign. The Hawks landed in the top 10 of Class 2A in 21 different team and individual stat categories.
Collectively, Mid-Prairie was fourth in 2A with 21 passing touchdowns, fifth with 371 rushing attempts, and sixth on defense with 18 sacks. The 121 total completions from the quarterback room was seventh in 2A, their 1,566 total passing yards were eighth. The Mid-Prairie offense rolled up 3,338 total yards, ninth most with 40 total touchdowns, 10th in 2A and 205 total passing attempts, 10th most.
Individually, junior quarterback Brady Weber was there in six categories. Weber was fourth in 2A with 117 total completions through the air, fifth with 20 passing touchdowns. His 1,497 throwing yards were eighth most, his 24 total touchdowns were the ninth highest total and his 60% completion percentage with 196 attempts were both 10th.
Sophomore back Hudson Ehrenfelt finished third in Class 2A with 1,977 all-purpose yards. His 227 carries in the ground game were third most and his 1,336 yards gained rushing were the fifth highest total.
Sophomore H-Back and linebacker Kaden Kos made an impression on both sides of the ball. His 114 tackles were most in the state in 2A. His five sacks were sixth highest and his six touchdown grabs rank him seventh in 2A.
Senior receiver Dylan Henry pulled in seven touchdowns this year, sixth most in Class 2A.
The Golden Hawks ended the season with a 5-5 record, falling in the round of 16 of the Class 2A playoffs. They say goodbye to 12 seniors, Landon Sullivan, Landon Fox, Dylan Henry, Lukin Rediger, Jarron Thomas, Case Whetstine, Jack Greiner, Kurt Schneider, Parker Ehrenfelt, Jackson Miller, Grady Miller and Beau Flynn.
