The Iowa Department of Education released its School Performance Profiles for the State last week, with several positives to be seen in the Highland Community School District.

Performance Profiles evaluate schools and provide information for families, educators, and communities on how they are serving their students. Each of the three schools in the Highland CSD met the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act. Highland Middle and High Schools received a 53.59 rating overall, which is categorized as acceptable. Highland Elementary meanwhile earned a commendable rating of 56.57. The State average is 54.81.

Highland schools also surpassed the State average in assessment participation, graduation rates, math and English growth, and post-secondary college readiness. To view the Highland CSD Performance Profile in its entirety, as well as those for other districts in Iowa, click here.
