The Highland Huskies were two wins away from the state boys’ basketball tournament in 2019, and they’re hoping to recapture that form this season after three straight subsequent losing seasons, including getting just one win last year.
Highland and head coach Bill Zywiec will need to replace Logan Bonebrake, last year’s leader in scoring and rebounds, as well as two other graduated starters. Six-foot-seven-inch senior forward Nic Oriano is back after averaging almost five points and five rebounds per game, while junior Logan McFarland and sophomore Bryce Hazelett also return after playing significant minutes last season. The Huskies will begin a new season November 28th on the road at Hillcrest Academy.
