During a meeting last month, the Keota City Council promoted Alycia Horras to the City Administrator position. Horras had previously been the City Clerk.

While she plans to continue fulfilling her clerk responsibilities, the administrator position will open the door for Horras to have more authority in city enterprises. This includes handling property purchasing decisions, plotting land, condemning houses, and overseeing other similar projects.

Already handling some of the day-to-day tasks as the Keota City Administrator, Horras’s position officially goes into effect on January 1, 2024.
