The Washington County Board of Supervisors appointed one person to the Washington County Board of Health at their Tuesday meeting. Washington County Public Health Administrator Emily Tokheim gives more information on the candidate, “So, last week we talked about the two term vacancies or term expirations that we have coming up. To put it on the record, we have heard from Cathy Buffington that is one of the terms that is going to be expiring that she does not wish to continue her term on the Board of Health. And then we have received as far as I’m aware two community members who are interested in possibly filling the vacancy. It was Kodey Salow and Marissa Reisen. He was interested last year, he seemed like he would have been a very good fit and a very good advocate for health.” The board voted unanimously to appoint Kodey Salow to the open position.  They will know more at their next meeting if the second potentially open board seat will remain filled by Jack Seward Jr. or if they will have another appointment to make.
