Junior point guard Vivian Zaruba added eight points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals as Lone Tree improves to 2-1 in the Super Conference North and 4-1 overall, while Highland’s undefeated start to the season ends after being 4-0.

The Lion boys also defeated the Huskies 62-30, jumping out to a 14-8 lead after a quarter of play before ripping off a 24-4 run going into halftime to seize total control. While junior Logan McFarland led Highland with 11 points and seven rebounds, sophomore Emmett Burke’s 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists was complemented by four other Lone Tree players scoring at least six points, including senior Ethan Bockelman’s seven points, five boards, three assists and three steals.
