At their meeting on Tuesday, the Washington County Board of Supervisors began discussing the compensation for fiscal year 2025. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr. shared his thoughts on the compensation rate, “I will be interested to hear what the public has to say, once it’s published. Once the word gets around.” The Washington County Compensation Board met on December 5th and recommended a 4% increase for each elected County official for the 2024-25 fiscal year. No action was taken, and discussions will continue at a future meeting.
