U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley recently pressed the State Department on its oversight of $6 billion that it sent to Iran. The Senator tells us what he has learned, “President Biden decided that the six billion dollars that was in a South Korean Bank could be released to the Iranians for the freeing of six American hostages. We don’t believe that we should pay money to get hostages out, so why is Biden releasing six billion dollars for six prisoners? It’s just going to encourage countries to take more hostages. So, Hamas invades Israel, and the Iranians are behind that, so we got the six billion dollars stopped from going to Iran, and I just want to make sure that it’s actually stopped.” Senator Grassley will continue to seek answers if the State Department is engaging in strict oversight. Grassley stated that the taxpayers deserve to know exactly how the Biden administration plans to ensure proper oversight of $6 billion to Iran.
