With the Iowa Caucuses less than one month away, Republican Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis makes a visit to Washington County this week.

The Florida Governor has scheduled a meet and greet event at Marr Park in Ainsworth on Thursday, December 21. DeSantis will be accompanied by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt. Prior to arriving in Washington County, DeSantis and Stitt are making a stop in Coralville Thursday morning.

According to the most recent Iowa Caucus Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa poll, DeSantis is second in the field with 19% of the potential vote. Former President Donald Trump leads the poll with support from 51% of prospective caucus-goers.
