The Washington City Council heard a presentation from Veenstra and Kimm Engineering Consultants at their Tuesday meeting. The presentation highlighted the potential phase 2 of the Washington Wellness Park. Leland Belding with Veenstra and Kimm gave the presentation “So we are looking at roughly seven million and construction cost and the design we are looking at three and a half million.” Phase two includes a pond, fishing pier, concession stand, lodge, trail, fitness area, gazebo, picnic shelter, pickleball court, a shop, and amenities and lights. The City is still in the early planning stages and can pick what portion of the project they may want to start first.
