The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed their fiscal year 2025 budget directive at their most recent meeting. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr. made this statement on the directive, “For the 2024/25 budget year, each department will take their current personnel costs include the salary and benefits increase, add that figure to the current operational budget, and then reduce that amount by five percent as the department budget target for FY 24/25.” The Supervisors voted unanimously to accept that directive and will begin the budget process in January.
