Thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Junction Police completed another successful toy drive earlier this week. 

Over the last several weeks, monetary donations and toys were collected at multiple sites in Louisa County. This generosity led to the assistance of 70 families and over 210 children, as they received gifts from toys to new bikes to food gift cards. Many of the presents were even wrapped, thanks to the Wapello National Honor Society. 

Additional thanks from the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office goes out to the City of Wapello, Dollar General in Wapello, Just 2 Moms, Louisa County UTV Riders, Louisa-Muscatine teachers and staff, Mediapolis Savings Bank, Mincers, Odd Fellows, Wapello Methodist Church, the Wapello VFW, and anyone else who donated to the cause.
