It was a tough night at the office for the Mid-Prairie boys wrestling team Thursday at Wilton, dropping three duals at a River Valley Conference quad.

The Hawks narrowly lost to Durant 39-36. Mid-Prairie got a fall from Burke Berry at 285lbs.

Against West Liberty, it was a 66-15 final count in favor of the Comets. The Hawks picked up contested match wins from Trevyn Riley at 106lbs by 14-12 decision and Jarron Thomas at 175lbs by fall.

The No. 2 ranked in Class 1A Beavers defended their home mat against the Hawks, winning by a 69-9 score, the same as a season ago. Points for Mid-Prairie came from Quinn Callahan at 215lbs with a 4-2 decision and Burke Berry with a fall at 285. With the losses, the Hawks drop to 7-10 on the year and gear up for tournament action tomorrow at North Tama.
