Iowa residents are reminded to sign up for Alert Iowa to receive important notifications in their respective county. Alert Iowa is available in 92 of Iowa’s 99 counties, including the entire KCII listening area.

To get signed up, simply text your county name directly followed by IA to the number 67283. Once opted-in, you will receive important county updates and alerts regarding severe weather, traffic, emergencies, and other events. These notifications can also be received by downloading the Smart911 app in your devices play store. Messages can be delivered via text, email, and/or voice message and additional language options for messaging may be available.
