The Riverside City Council met for a work session last Monday as officials continue planning a budget for Fiscal Year 2025. While water and sewer rates were a topic of discussion at this latest meeting, no rates were set just yet as the Council awaits cost projections from PeopleService, the City’s water and wastewater company.

Eyeing April 15 as the date to approve the FY25 budget, another work session has been scheduled for Monday, February 12. A public hearing for the proposed property tax rate, which is expected to stay at $8.10 is set for April 1.

Fiscal Year 2025 officially begins on July 1.
