The Washington City Council designated the remaining American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds at their meeting on Tuesday. Mayor Pro-Tem Millie Youngquist gives some more information on the spending of the funds, “We have until the end of 2024 to determine how we are going to use it, and then until the end of 2026 to actually spend the funds.” According to a memo from City Administrator Deanna McCusker, an estimated $306,741 remains to be designated. The council approved the funds to be used in various projects. $143,593 will be put toward the East Adams Project. The remaining $163,148 will be designated to the Egg Sewer Basin evaluation.
