The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship released its Weekly Fuel Report Wednesday. According to AAA, the price of unleaded gasoline averaged $2.83 across the State, four cents down from last week and 47 cents less than a year ago. Nationally, unleaded gas prices rose slightly to $3.15.

Retail diesel dropped three cents in the last week for a statewide average of $3.54. This is 40 cents lower than the national average and 68 cents lower than one year ago. Wholesale ethanol meanwhile held steady at $2.16.

Propane prices averaged $1.59 in Iowa, one cent higher than last week, while home heating oil prices fell 3 cents to $2.94. Natural gas fell 15 cents, currently priced at $1.97.
