At their meeting on Wednesday, the Washington School Board held a discussion on the possibility of a four-day school week. Superintendent Willie Stone gives more information, “One thing I wanted to bring up, we have several schools around us looking into or have decided to move to four-day school weeks, with PD on Friday or Monday. I guess this is where I would like a little direction from the board, what are your thoughts on this, is this something we should survey the community on, or are we not to that point yet?” The discussion has just begun on the potential of a four-day week. More information from the district will be coming in the future for feedback from parents.
