Earlier this week, Governor Kim Reynolds announced her new appointment of Mark Fisher as a district judge in Judicial District 6. Fisher will take the place of Sean McPartland, who recently retired.

From Cedar Rapids, Fisher currently serves as a Judicial Magistrate as well as a Partner at Howes Law Firm P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and his law degree from the University of Iowa. He was first appointed to the bench in 2018. 

Judicial District 6 includes Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Tama Counties.
