In an effort to support the less fortunate in the community, the Christian Church of Sigourney recently opened its new food pantry.

Called Christian Cupboard, the food pantry is open from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, and available for any residents needing some help to get by. It is located in the old pastor’s office, and can be accessed by using the south staircase of the church.

Other times can be arranged for those with scheduling conflicts and anyone with a handicap may call ahead for assistance. With further questions, to make a donation, or to benefit from Christian Cupboard in Sigourney, call 641-622-2151.
