Three members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team were recognized by the River Valley Conference for their work on the court this winter.

Mid-Prairie junior Callie Huber was a first-team All-RVC selection. She led Mid-Prairie scoring 232 points and pulling in 197 rebounds, for a Golden Hawk team that finished ninth in the state with 505 total boards. Her 58.4% mark from the floor was best on the team and fifth in Class 3A for a team that finished 10th overall shooting 38.7% as a group. Huber also piled up 33 steals, 15 blocked shots and 14 assists.

Golden Hawk senior Nora Pennington was a second-team River Valley selection. The Golden Hawk’s lone senior led the way with 74 steals, third most in the RVC and was tied for the team lead with 56 assists, seventh best in conference play. Pennington also poured in 180 points on 36% shooting and had 71 rebounds.

Mid-Prairie sophomore Jovi Evans was named honorable mention River Valley. Evans tied for the team lead with 56 assists this season, seventh most in the league, while scoring 174 points, grabbing 69 rebounds and 41 steals, 10th most in the RVC.

The Golden Hawks ended the season with an 11-11 overall record.
